Welcome To Thunder Bay Nordic Trails!

Thunder Bay Nordic Trails is a non-profit organization dedicated to offering exceptional cross-country skiing opportunities to the Thunder Bay community.  We groom almost 100km of trails within our three ski areas, Kamview Nordic Centre, Kakabeka Falls and Sleeping Giant Provincial Parks.

Visit Kamview Nordic Centre for the over 30km of Pisten Bully groomed skate and classic trails, including a 5.5km night loop.  After your ski, visit our bright and comfortable chalet featuring a full-service canteen, free wi-fi and equipment rentals. Hungry? We  make the best chocolate chip cookies, comfort soups and "classic" chili!  We have special Friday after five and group rates available. No need to leave Fido at home-we have a 2.1km dog friendly loop! Not a x-country zealot?  Try our 5km of snowshoe trails (rentals available) or participate in our summer trail run series.  There's something for everyone at Kamview!

Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park

We groom approximately 15km of trails at the Park for skate and classic technique.  Enjoy the scenery and world-class grooming without the crowds.

Sleeping Giant Provincial Park

The Park is home to the Sleeping Giant Loppet, Northwestern Ontario's largest ski festival, held annually the first Saturday in March.  It features events from the 8km mini-loppet to the 50km skate or classic distance for skiers of all abilities.  We groom 60km of trails for skate and classic and the spectacular Sleeping Giant scenery is free!  The Visitor's Centre at Marie Louise Lake is open winter week-ends from 10am-4pm.
